Rescheduled!  The next meeting of the Leadership Interest Group will take place on Thursday, October 20th, from 3:30 - 4:30 pm.  

Developing Staff, Growing Leaders and Succession Planning – Please come with a success story from one of our topics.

  • Developing Staff (How do you make it a priority?  Do you develop them only for internal needs, for the wider industry, or more broadly?)
  • Developing Leaders  (Self-selected vs. nominated, local resources, external resources)
  • Succession Planning  (Does your organization do this?  Formally or informally?)

Interest Group Facilitator:  Sarah Capps

My name is Sarah Capps.  I am the branch manager of a full-service library in the Volusia County Public Library system. I spent my undergraduate years as a UNC-Chapel Hill Tarheel, and received my MLIS from the University of South Florida.  I have worked professionally in libraries for the past 9 years.  I firmly believe that my experiences as a resort activities coordinator and a camp counselor provide as much value as my degrees.  In my free time you can find me gaming, crafting, or spending time with family.
