Helping Homeschoolers in the Library: Focus on Laws, Support Systems and Schedules: Webinar (2/6/14) 


This is a 2-part webinar. You may register to attend one or both sessions.

More than one million children are being homeschooled in the United States today, and homeschoolers are an active and growing part of most libraries' communities. This workshop will focus on how and why people homeschool, with specific focus on the laws and support systems that apply to homeschoolers in Florida. After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and define major homeschooling philosophies
  • Locate the laws that apply to homeschoolers in Florida
  • Articulate typical daily and yearly schedules homeschoolers use

NEFLIN classes are open to library staff in Florida only.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
