Donald R. Teater, MD

Medical Advisor, Prescription Drug Overdose Inititaves, National Safety Council

Donald Teater is responsible for advising National Safety Council advocacy initiatives to reduce deaths and injuries associated with prescription drug overdoses. Teater is a patient advocate who specializes in psychiatric services and opioid dependence treatment. Prior to joining NSC, Teater held positions at Blue Ridge Family Practice as a physician, and at the Mountaintop Healthcare and Good Samitan Clinic of Haywood County as a physician and medical director. At present, along with his role at NSC, Teater treats opioid dependence at Meridan Behavioral Health Services and Mountain Area Recovery Center, along with volunteer work in the field.

Join us for the only Spring/Summer Safety Retreat in Fairlee, VT at Camp Ohana. Our Annual Safety Retreat offers multiple choices of classes for you to participate in three different tracks including OSHA Compliance, General Safety, and Life Safety.

Lunch that day will feature a Bar-B-Que lunch and an Ice Cream Social!

Participants can drive in for just the day, OR rent a cabin (through our on-line registration link,) OR stay at the nearby Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT, . The waterfront will be open the afternoon before (June 7th) so you can also arrive a day early, rent a cabin and enjoy the lake!

To rent a cabin at Ohana, click "Register Now" below, and cabin rental options will appear. A 1 bedroom is $100/night; a 2 bedroom is $200/night; a 3 bedroom is $300/night and a 4 bedroom is $400/night. You can also reserve a cabin by calling Catherine Doty at 1-800-834-6472.
