Leading researcher and professor at CU's Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES), Sievers is the leader of the group that developed the first dry powder measles inhalable aerosol vaccine. This medical breakthrough and work takes him around the world.What does a medical breakthrough in measles vaccine have in common with a marble sculpture? They were both created by EXTRAORDINARY Dr. Bob Sievers.
In addition to inventing and patenting medical breakthrough he is a sculptor. He sculpts in marble, alabaster, acrylic glass, and bronze. His favorite forms are stylized flowers, animals and people.
