Head Start Training from The Private Client Law Group
Training Solutions for Nonprofits and Grant-Funded Entities
Health and safety (and other facilities-related) issues have been the leading causes of deficiencies and findings for Head Start and Early Head Start in recent years. Health and safety remain areas of emphasis as part of the transition to five-year grant cycles and with the introduction of the new, aligned monitoring system. Therefore, it is critical for the success of every Head Start and Early Head Start program that wants to avoid recompetition to minimize potential issues in these important areas. This unique two-day institute in Orlando will provide Head Start and Early Head Start programs with the information needed to avoid whenever possible (and, when necessary, respond to) health, safety, and facilities issues.

Not only have health and safety issues been the leading causes of deficiencies for Head Start and Early Head Start programs over the last several years, the emphasis by the Office of Head Start on these health, safety, and facilities issues seems to be growing with the transition to five-year grants and the introduction of the new, aligned monitoring system. This special, two-day institute looks at the areas most likely to give rise to problems and explains what Head Start and Early Head Start agencies can do to avoid health and safety issues. Because non-safety facilities-related issues have been another frequent source of findings and questioned costs, the institute will also tackle the toughest facilities issues faced by programs. The Head Start Health, Safety, and Facilities Institute will help your Head Start or Early Head Start program stay safe and out of the recompetition pool.
Over the course of two days, the conference will explore Head Start and Early Head Start health, safety, and facilities issues in detail, including:
The institute will discuss these topics and more to provide attendees with the critical information needed to ensure the health and safety of their Head Start and Early Head Start children, families, and staff, as well as to ensure compliance with other facilities-related requirements.
