Online Bible Study Program

What is Project Barnabas?

  • A global online program to learn every book of the Bible in the contexts of its genres, intended messages, and applications for our lives today.
  • There are two 20-week semesters a year.
  • Suitable for individual quiet time or cell group studies.

Who Should Join?

  • Anyone who considers the Bible the primary source of authority for their spiritual lives.
  • Especially useful for church leaders & teachers.

Why Project Barnabas?

  • Our approach: Get to know the context of the original message to avoid misinterpreting it.
  • Virtual classroom: Available at your fingertips anytime, anywhere in the work (with Internet access, of course).
  • Community: Besides dedicated tutors, you will have classmates from all over the world.

How does it work?

  • The class is conducted using Moodle, a course management system frequently used by universities.
  • On Monday, students will log on to http://www.actministry.org/PB/ to check out their assignments, which may include readings from the Bible, notes, and some assessment questions.
  • A discussion forum will be opened Thursday, where all students will participate in discussing the topic. The forum will be moderated by the tutors.

When Should I Sign Up?

  • For this semester? Right now.
  • But if you miss the starting month, no worries. Anytime is a good time.

What are we studying this semester?

  • This year Project Barnabas will focus on the Pentateuch.
  • In the Spring semester, we will read Genesis and Exodus together.

When Will the Spring Semester Start?

  • It will start on January 27th and end on May 26th.
