Speakers: Dr. William Justiz, CCMS member neurologist; This activity is approved for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM) Objectives:
1. Discuss data associated with anesthesia exposure leading to memory loss.
2. Distinguish those circumstances that might require an assessment of capacity from those that do not. 3. Relate the standards for legal capacity and testamentary capacity, describe how those standards are applied and identify those cognitive functions to be evaluated in connection with each standard. 4. List the questions that should be asked of those requesting a capacity determination before performing a patient evaluation.
5. Compose objective and meaningful written opinions of capacity. Please register online by June 26th.
