This year, NCICG has changed our golf outing to honor Jan Lindeman, father of Senior Staff person, Kevin Lindeman.  Mr. Lindeman (I could never call him Jan), passed away in May of 2013.  Anyone who has attended our golf outing over the years will remember that Jan was a regular participant and a fervent supporter of NCICG.  He brought with him a wonderful smile, witty sense of humor, and a calm demeanor.   His presence and participation helped the day to be relaxed and fun year after year. 

Mr. Lindeman worked in the pharmacy business in Aurora for over forty (40) years, having started in the business with his father in the Lindeman Pharmacy in Batavia, Illinois.  Eventually he and his bride Linda Kay (Larimer) moved to Ottawa to be close to their son Kevin and his family.

The Jan Lindeman Memorial Golf Outing will be a day to honor and remember this true gentleman. It will also be an opportunity to thank his son Kevin for all he has contributed to NCICG, and to this region, since his employment began here over seventeen years ago.

The North Central Illinois Council of Governments (NCICG) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit regional planning agency serving communities in Bureau, Grundy, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark Counties. For more than 35 years, NCICG has offered grant writing and administration, planning, technical assistance, and professional services to local governments and elected officials facing complex community and economic development issues.   

The golf outing is our main fundraiser during the year.  The money raised helps finance the replacement of outdated technology, specialized training programs, and services our counties and communities have become dependent upon.
