This workshop will look at the needs of Adolescents Young Adults in treatment and how to adjust our expectations to meet their unique needs. We will also explore what an effective treatment program for Adolescents and Young Adults looks like. The effects that substance abuse has on personality development, on social learning, on cognitive development, on the development of coping skills and on self esteem will be examined.

About Our Presenter
Sandra Taylor-Anderson, PhD, LPC, CACII, CCS, BR1-1, GCAD-IIITalbott Recovery Dunwoody Clinical Program Director
Certified at both state and national levels, Sandra has a 30 plus year history in the field of addiction. She has worked in treatment centers as a counselor, family therapist, and director of adolescent and adult chemical dependency units. Sandra was Director of the Family Support Center for the US Air Force in Yokota Air Base in Japan. She has conducted inservice training programs for military staff and conducted workshops on family issues. Sandra currently serves Clinical Program Director at our Talbott Recovery Dunwoody campus.
