This program begins by providing a description of the Phase Model of Trauma Treatment, including a brief discussion of each specific phase with a focus on the Trauma Resolution Phase. This information will be followed by criteria used to evaluate Trauma Resolution methods for different populations including children, adolescents, adults and those with poor affect tolerance, and for victims of simple trauma versus complex trauma. Progressive Counting, a dual attention Trauma Resolution method created by Dr. Ricky Greenwald of the Child Trauma Institute will be described in detail. If time permits, we will do a demonstration of Progressive Counting in group format.
