FLIPP The Switch Conference: Strategies to Help Students with Planning, Organizing, Impulse Control, Flexibility, and Problem Solving

A workshop for educators, professionals and parents! Do you work with a student or have a child who is disorganized, inflexible, impulsive, and who struggles with planning and problem solving? If this sounds like a student you know - then this professional learning experience is designed for you!

National speakers, Carol Burmeister and and Dr Sheri WIlkins will give you pracitcal strategies and all participants who register for this workshop will receive a copy of the book, FLIPP the Switch, normally $25 each.

Having issues with executive functioning makes it difficult to many things in life including: keeping track of time, making plans, making sure work is finished on time, multitasking, problem solving, analyzing ideas, and looking for help or more information when it is needed.

Participants in this training will leave with strategies that can be used immediately to support students in general education and special education settings as well as in the home, community, and vocational environments. Training objectives:

• Gain knowledge of executive function (EF) skills and how EF deficits can impact learning and behavior

• Learn about how EF deficits are manifested and what disorders exhibit these deficits

• Discover powerful, evidence-based strategies that can be used to effectively structure the environment and teach strategic thinking skills that will support the critical life skills of flexibility, leveled emotionality, impulse control, planning, and problem solving

Early Registration and Payment (Received on or before Oct 7th) - $30 pp

Late Registration and Payment (Received On or after Oct 8th) - $50 pp

Registration for a couple (1 book) - $40 early/$60 late

Registration includes FLIPP the Switch book (which normally retails for $25)!

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation of registration on or before Oct 7, 2016 will result in a refund, minus a 25% processing fee. Cancellation of registration from Oct 7 - Oct 19, 2016 will result in a 50% refund. No other refunds will be given after Oct 20th 2016
