Helping Your Child with Autism 

Having a child with autism can bring many challenges, including understanding and handling difficult behavior, helping them fit into our social world with friends, families and eventually the workforce and navigating the many agencies families deal with.  This workshop will spend time on each topic, giving you resources and practical tips to make a better life for you and your family. 
  •  Tips on Managing Difficult Behavior by Rosita Woods, MS, Program manager and Cristina Cordeiro, M.S., BCBA - People's Care
  • Why Does My Child Act This Way? by Lorry Arlington, OTR/L and Mary Murrah-Alexander OTR/L
  • Preparing Your Child for the Social World by Jonathan Wilson, M.S. LMFTI and Tiffany Martin MA, MFT-I 
  • Navigating Resources by Jan Vitro, GATES Resource Network

Cost is $10 pp which includes a box lunch.  Space is limited - you must register!  Refund policy: 75% of registration will be returned if cancellation notice is received on or before Feb 8th. No refunds after Feb 8th.
