February 26: The Highwaymen at the
MN History Theater

Join WTS MN and Transportation YOU students for a special viewing of the MN History Theater's production, The Highwaymen.

This unique and new play addresses the impacts of the I-94 construction through the Rondo neighborhood in St. Paul. Tickets are only $20 (special group rate), and are limited. Register early to reserve your spot (registration closes on Monday, February 6th).

From the MN History Theater Website: 1956. The construction of Interstate 94 destroyed the thriving, tight-knit Rondo neighborhood where homes, stores and businesses once stood. The new freeway tore through the heart of St. Paul’s largest African-American community. This powerful new drama explores the dynamics surrounding the decision-making process that shattered the lives of thousands of middle-class residents and changed the face of St. Paul forever.

*A post-production special 20-30 minute discussion is free and open to all attendees. The February 26th discussion will be held with author Frank White about his book, "The Played for the Love of the Game - Untold Stories of Black Baseball in Minnesota."
