January 31: Master the Art and Science of
ADA Document Accessibilty

Have you heard about document accessibility but don’t know what it means? Are you unsure why it’s important? Would you like more guidance about what is expected? Document accessibility is a vital topic and is a requirement for most public agencies and all work products that receive federal funding.

Join WTS MN on January 31st for an interactive program to learn more about creating accessible documents using Microsoft Word.

We’ll cover the WHY and HOW of creating documents with accessibility in mind, including key considerations, tips and tricks, how screen readers work, the business and regulatory case for document accessibility, and more!

The training will be led by Katie Caskey (MnDOT) and Jake Rueter (Metro Transit) and includes both an interactive element and time for a hands-on work session.

Please bring a laptop, a document you are working on in Microsoft Word, and come prepared with questions. Please contact Kristina Nesse (kmnesse@gmail.com) if you need to borrow a laptop for this session; a limited number are available.
