Opening to Spirit Through Creative Exploration 

Saturdays, March 23 to April 13, from 9 a.m. to 10:30

Engaging in creative activities can bring us closer to ourselves and the Spirit in ways that thinking cannot.  

Using the works of Christine Valters Paintner and others, each session will combine prayer, reflection, shared understanding and artistic exploration.  One need not be an artist to participate. A willingness to explore and be open to new ways of expression are all that is required! Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend all four sessions to gain the full value of the experience.

Paintner’s book The Artist’s Rule: Nurturing Your Creative Soul with Monastic Wisdom, will be used throughout the sessions. It can be purchased separately or as part of registration.

 About the Presenters

Joanne Conway is the coordinator of Wellspring. A psychologist studying Spiritual Direction, she also co-leads Wellspring's Women Connecting program.

Kay Hankinson has served as a spiritual director and is an experienced contemplative prayer group and retreat leader.
