NSCC April Lunch Meeting

Calvin Goings, Regional Administrator with the Seattle Business Administration. You will be surprised to hear what the SBA can

Calvin W. Goings serves as the Regional Administrator leading SBA’s economic development efforts in the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho 
and Alaska. 

Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Goings served in key executive positions with the Washington Credit Union League, working on economic justice issues in his roles as Senior Advisor to the President and as the Executive Director 
of the League’s non-profit Foundation. 

Before his work in the private sector, Goings served in elected office for nearly 
two decades at the local, county and state level where he focused on economic 
empowerment initiatives.  

Outside of work, Calvin continues his focus on inclusion and income equality by 
serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Seattle Business 
Association, the country’s largest LGBT Chamber.  Goings also volunteers on the 
Chancellor’s Advisory Committee for the Seattle Community College system and 
as a facilitator for the Gay Fathers Association of Seattle.  

Calvin is the proud father of his nine-year-old son William and lives with his 
partner in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood.
