Camp Nor’ Wes

Taking place on the edge of Terra Nova National Park, Camp Nor’ Wes offers a wilderness camping experience that extends from rugged cliffs and sheltered inlets to rolling forested hills, bogs and ponds. Camp Nor’ Wes is home to overnight hiking, canoeing and biking journeys, a mud run and obstacle course, natural rock climbing, paintball, archery and a large, naturally sandy beach.

As Newfoundland and Labrador Council’s provincial camp, Camp Nor’ Wes is situated approximately 220 kilometres west of St. John’s and eight kilometres south of the Trans-Canada Highway on the Nor’ Wes Pond. The nearest community is Port Blandford, which is on the waters of Clode Sound, an arm of Bonavista Bay.
