Technician Lecture: The Role of Veterinary Professionals
in the Prevention of Zoonotic Diseases 

  

Technician Lecture for Technicians and Tech Assistants

Valerie Nelson, BS, CVT, LMT, NCCMT

  This lecture will help the Veterinary Professional learn about
pathogens associated with zoonotic diseases, factor
associated
with infection, and prevention. Veterinary
Professionals will
recommend Physician referral if there is concern of human exposure.


Zoonotic diseases to be discussed: Acariasis (mange),
Bartonellosis (cat scratch fever), Cutaneous and Visceral Larval Migrans, Leptospirosis, Rabies, and Salmonellosis.
