Cooking Categories:

Backyard Division

$200 Registration Fee

Cooking teams will provide judges the following items:

  • 6 pieces of chicken
  • 6 ribs
  • brisket
  • sauce

Plus,

  • 2 pork butts (for People's Choice voting)

Best Slider Division

$100 Registration Fee

Cooking teams will provide judges the following items:

  • any type of slider: beef burger, turkey, pork, etc.

Plus,

  • 2 pork butts (for People's Choice voting)

Prizes and Recognitions:

  • Grand Champion (overall winner) * *        $500 plus trophy
  • Backyard Division 1st Place                       $300 plus trophy
  • Backyard Division 2nd Place                      Trophy
  • Backyard Division 3rd Place                      Certificate
  • Best Slider Division 1st Place                    $200 plus trophy
  • Best Slider Division 2nd Place                   Trophy
  • Best Slider Division 3rd Place                     Certificate
  • People’s Choice winner                             Trophy

** Must enter both categories to be eligible for Grand Champion (Backyard Division and Best Slider Division)

Team registration fee includes supplies needed for judging and People’s Choice: Styrofoam boxes, serving cups, forks, gloves, paper towels, and trash bags

Booth spaces are approximately 15' x 15'. Prep sinks and power available onsite. Extension cords, water hoses or splitters not provided.

This is not an Alabama BBQ Association sanctioned event, but we do our best to adhere to their backyard competition rules and regulations.

11:30 AM - Chicken Turn-in

12:00 PM - Rib Turn-in

12:30 PM - Brisket Turn-in

1:00 PM - Slider Turn-in

2:00 PM  - People’s Choice Voting Closes

2:30 PM - Winners Announced / Awards Presentations
