The Pageant is divided into eight divisions

The Queen will receive a crown and an embroidered sash.

 

Age Divisions 

Baby: 0-11 mos

Sweetheart: 1 yr

Tiny: 2 yr

Petite: 3-4 yrs 

Little: 5-6 yrs

Young: 7-8 yrs 

Jr.: 9-10 yrs

Pre-Teen: 11-12 yrs

Teen: 13-15 yrs

Miss: 16-18 yrs

Will open a 19-up if we get applications

Age is the DATE OF THE PAGEANT

Must have at least 3 contestants in each group…or groups may be combined.

Only taken 8 per division others will have to be put on a waiting list or if room can compete in the next division up. 

 

Please join us for our 8th Annual Starz Miss Firecracker Pageant June 18, 2016

Starz Miss Firecracker Titles will be awarded to the contestant in each age division with the highest combined score from formal wear, & casual wear only . Queens will receive a crown, and embrodered sash. 

Two Alternates per age division will be named as runner ups if the divisions are full at 8 girls. If the divisions are not full they will all be named Princess.

Miss Georgia State Titles will be awarded to the Georgia contestant in each age division with the highest combined score from formal wear, casual wear and interview scores only. 
Georgia  State Queens will receive a full round crown, state sash.

Miss Alabama State Titles will be awarded to the Alabama contestant in each age division with the highest combined score from formal wear, casual wear and interview scores only. 
Alabama State Queens will receive a full round crown, state sash.

To be eligible for a state title you must not currently have a state title withStarz. If you are about to renew your title you can be eligible for this. Must pay to enter this to have a chance at winning. You can win Starz Miss Firecracker and win this title as well. 

Noone goes home empty handed! 

Side Awards: One contestant per division will win Most Beautiful, Best Hair, OOC.

Optional Awards: One contestant per division will win Photogenic, Portfolio, or Interview 

Overall Grand Supreme Queens:

3 per pageant: 3 girls will be awarded this title, 0-4, 5-12,  13 & and up! This will be the contestant with the HIGHEST SCORES. She will be awarded a Large Rhinestone Crown,  and a Custom Embroidered Sash.

 Supreme Queens:

We will have Supreme Queens as long as we have 30 girls in the pageant. Three girls will be awarded this title, 0-4, 5-12, 13 & and up! This will be the contestant with the next HIGHEST SCORES . She will be awarded a Large Rhinestone Crown, and a Custom Embroidered Sash . 

For every 25 girls after that more titles will be added

Outfit of Choice:

Is exactly that outfit of choice, this can be off the rack or hand-made. We would like for you to stick with something red, white, and blue if possible but will not help or hurt your  score of  contestant if not.  Examples below: 

 

                                                                                                           

 

This is a semi-glitz pageant system. Pageant/Formal dresses are encouraged. No Full Glitz or Pro Am modeling! Any color is acceptable. Makeup and Hair pieces are acceptable on all ages  ONLY if they are used to enhance the contestant’s beauty. No Flippers are allowed . Walk should be natural, graceful, and elegant. Girls should appear comfortable on stage!  We tell our judges these rules. 

Mandotory Competion

For Miss Firecracker title: Beauty and OOC, these scores are combined together to get your Queen and Supreme winners.

For State Titles: Beauty ,OOC and Interview combined together to get your  Miss Georgia State and Miss Alabama State Queens . Must enter interview to compete for this title.

Optional Categories: 

The winner of each optional will have no basis on who is crowned as queen. The optional categories are not included in your application fee. These categories will include Interview, Photogenic,  and Portfolio. These categories will be judged at the end of each division. Cost is $10.00 each.

Photogenic /Portfolios: Pictures MUST be labeled with the contestant’s name and age division. Please make sure that all photographs are at least 5x7 and no bigger than 8x10. If not in these size’s photos will not be acceptable. Photographs can be head shots or body shots.  Please be prepared to turn photos in at registration with all info.  If not you will be asked to step out of line and return when filled out properly. Portfolios need to have 5-10 photos to qualify as a portfolio.

Interview:

Cost is $10.00 this is added to entry fee if you choose to enter this category.  You will wear the Starz Miss Firecracker Tshirt and jeans for this event or a interview suit. The cost of the shirts are $20.00   This is great for practice for upcoming state or national pageants.  You can not wear any tshirt and jeans if you choose to do interview. You will be required to wear the starz tshirt.

Each winner will receive a special gift. One winner per division will be awarded.

T-Shirts:

T-shirts are not  mandotory for this event . However you can use them in  interview (if you enter interview), during crowning and to ride in the fourth of July  parade . They are Royal blue with Starz Logo in Red rhinestones.

Starz Ambassador Award : 

Every contestant collecting at least $100.00 in sponsorship will receive a large crown and an embroidered sash with your name on the sash.  If a contestant collects $200.00 , she will receive a large trophy, crown, and a sash. If you want to become a lifetime ambassdor you will need to collect $350.00. You will receive a large trophy, crown and a sash. You will also keep this sash and crown for life. It is a special crown and sash. If you out grow your sash or need it repaired replacement is $125.00. You need to tell us what cause/benefit you will be supporting for this title. You will hold this title for a year. You will need to make appearances at parades, and other functions wearing your crown and sash. You will be recognized on stage for this. This is a great title for people that love to serve their community or have a great platform that you are trying to collect money for.  If you are collecting money for this we have to know no later than May 22nd. No exceptions! 

People’s Choice Award:

We will host “The People’s Choice Award” . For 0-5 and 6-up . Anyone attending the pageant will be able to cast votes by ballot for $1.00 per vote to choose their favorite contestant.  You can also start collecting votes now and turn in all money on the day of the pageant. Winners 0-5 will receive a Awesome Toy,  and a  Crown and ages 6-up   will receive a beautiful  crown,  and a trophy/gift! Start collecting votes now. This does not affect judge's decisions!

  Pageant Rules:


Photos and Score Sheets may be picked up at the end of the day. We do not keep the judges score sheets please make sure you pick them up, we will not mail them out. 

All Bios, applications and money must be turned in by the deadline. Deadline is May 29th

There are no refunds UNLESS pageant is canceled or rescheduled. If contestant is not able to make pageant, fees will be transferred to the next pageant that is being held. If fees do not cover the full entry of next pageant, the difference will need to be paid in order for contestant to attend. We will only transfer to the next pageant.

Bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated. If you choose this you will be asked to leave building with no refund. Any winnings from the day can be taken away final descion will be based on  the Directors say. 

Judges scores are final! Judges CANNOT be approached during judging or crowning. After pageant has ended, you can talk to judges.


Please do not approach the tabulator while they are tallying scores or while a contestant is on stage. Questions can be asked before pageant begins, during breaks between attire chances, while we wait for crowning or after the pageant. Please find a Starz Staff memeber that can help you . 

If there is a mistake during crowning and contestant receives wrong award or no award at all, we will double check final scores and awards will be mailed to contestant. If parent chooses to not accept awards or to help fix problem, no awards will be sent.

Children that are not competing, parents must control while pageant is in session. This is so that judges can focus on each contestant.

Inquiries regarding your daughter’s scores will not be discussed at the pageant.

Door Admission is $7.00 for Adults and $3.00 for children under 10.  This price is for ALL audience members pre-registered online. We do not offer paid arm band with contestant. The door entry is to help pay for the venue. Cost at the door is $10.00 for Adults and $7.00 for children under 10

The Application Fee MUST be included with your Application. The Balance MUST be paid at the time of Registration. ***Deadline to Enter Pageant is June 11, 2016. Returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee. Starz Pageants, or anyone associated with this pageant are not responsible for any accident or injury to persons or personal items during the pageant. Nor do we take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
