Supervising Conflictive Supervisees

Description

It would be nice if all employees were compliant, reliable, honest, and sought the best interest of the company and those we serve.  We all know that is not always the case.  None of us are perfect and even the best employee has bad days on occasion.  The reality is most of the people we supervise are easy to work with and lead.  Most want to succeed and make a positive contribution to the team.  But what about those who resist authority, can't be counted on, or disagree with seemingly everything?  In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of what motivates a person to be conflictual.  We will explore seeing things from that person's perspective and consider skills to help improve those relationships for the best interest of all involved.

Objectives

*   Increase understanding of what motivates a person to be conflictual
*   Explore seeing things from an employee's perspective
*   Consider skills to help improve conflicted relationships for the  best interest of all involved
