Manufacturing Day 2019- Heavy Metal STEM Tour Company Sign Up Link 

The Seguin Economic Development Corporation and Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce are excited to commence the 3rd Annual Heavy Metal STEM Tour in honor of Manufacturing Day 2019 on Friday, October 4th!This year we will be hosting 10th-grade students from Navarro, Seguin and Marion. We are now looking to sign up 9 businesses to accommodate these tours!

What is expected:

• Each business will be required to host 3 tours of no more than 20 students on each tour. 
• We also ask that each business provide lunch to the group of students on site during the lunch hour. Last year, pizza, box lunches and sandwiches were the menu of choice and the students loved it!

Sponsorship:

 Last year each student wore a shirt that had the event logo on the front and names of the businesses participating on the back. These shirts truly made the students feel like they were a part of big movement and we would like to offer this to the schools again! We are now seeking your sponsorship of $200 from each business to put shirts on our students and in return we will make sure to have your company logo printed on the back. Manufacturing Day addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t. By working together during and after MFG DAY, manufacturers will begin to address the skilled labor shortage they face, connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.

The rallying point for a growing mass movement, MFG DAY empowers manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive.
