We are pleased to announce the IALHEA Diversity Dialogue and Research Forum. The goal is to improve opportunities for underrepresented students in Illinois institutions of higher education through networking and sharing of scholarly presentations designed to improve dissemination of research projects, teaching strategies, and service efforts.
Call for Abstracts. Abstracts are being accepted for this multidisciplinary research forum. Submit your abstract today. Research poster presentations will be on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The abstract should clearly explain the background for the study, the study goal or hypothesis to be tested, the study design, and the results of findings (See detailed instructions below). We encourage the language of the abstracts to address an audience from a wide range of academic disciplines and interests rather than one you would encounter at a more specalized disciplinary conference. The abstract should include the names of the individual(s) conducting the research and the institution sponsoring the research.
Upon review of the abstracts, four persons will be invited to present their research at the Research Plenary. PowerPoint equipment will be available.
Research poster sessions are scheduled at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Poster dimensions should not exceed 34" (width) and 44" (height). This year the posters will be displayed on pin up boards. Posters will NOT be mounted on easels.
Given limitations in space, only 80 abstracts will be accepted. Please read carefully the following instructions. Provide all information requested. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Research presenters will be entered in a raffle for an Apple iPad.
