Beginner/Advanced Tadpoles Class 

Do you have a child that is afraid of water or is just starting to swim? We have designed a program called the Tadpoles that is created to help your child learn the basics of swimming. This program offers 2 sets of classes:

• Beginner Tadpoles: A class for children who are new beginner swimmers- Teach child to be comfortable in water, water awareness, floating on front & back & rolling over, kicking, submersion, blowing bubbles/putting face in the water, gliding, jumping in pool when sitting & standing, climbing in and out of pool, and underwater swim (starting at age 3)  
• Advanced Tadpoles: A class for children who are more advanced swimmers in the family pool but have not mastered the dive pool- Roll from front float to back (and back to front), freestyle width of pool w/o assistance, rotary breathing width of pool w/assistance, flutter kick width on back w/assistance, arm stroke for beginning backstroke, elementary backstroke width of pool, tread water 5-10 seconds w/o assistance, and learn more safety rules (starting at age 3). 

These classes will be held every Wednesday & Sunday for 4 weeks starting July 17th. Both classes will occur at the same time.
Beginners:
Wednesday - 6:00- 6:30 p.m.
Sunday - 12:00- 12:30 p.m.
Advanced:

Wednesday - 6:30- 7:00 p.m.
Sunday - 12:30- 1:00 p.m.

During the course of this program, your child will participate in many swimming activities.  You child will develop skills to blow bubbles, stick entire face in water, swim in the deep pool with little or no assistance, and most important, build confidence in themselves. This program will allow them to progress from the family pool to the dive pool and eventually to the Frogs Program which will prepare your child for the competitive team, Woodhaven Waves.
