Crocheted Christmas Ball Ornaments
with Minh and Carol
Class Description
Students will learn the basic crochet skills listed below in order to create a ball ornament from a simplified version of a popular internet pattern. Students will receive an assortment of yarn in different colors, a crochet hook, a yarn needle, a plastic ball ornament, a copy of the pattern, and a half ornament piece that has been crocheted by one of the instructors. Some students may be able to crochet both halves during class. If not, they can combine the finished half provided in the kit with their own piece to complete the project. Everyone will leave with one finished ornament.
Skills Students will Learn:
-Basic crochet skills: Magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet
- How to change yarn colors
-How to decipher a crochet pattern
-How to create an ornament from start to finish
