POINT Training Section A
The first of two congruent trainings on curriculum and other educational resources available on PCUSAstore.
Presbyterians Organized in Nurture and Teaching (POINT) is a network of Christian educators who offer Reformed education expertise and curriculum interpretation skills to churches in their area. These volunteers, appointed by each presbytery and equipped through this training, lead the way in assisting churches with their educational ministry.
The POINT Network Gathering provides training on denominational resources. Choose POINT Gathering A or B, not both. Section B will be held Wednesday morning.
We are excited to host POINT this year in the space where many phases of our curriculum production occur. You'll meet publishing staff and learn how curriculum moves from an idea to a usable resource in your hands.
The Presbyterian Center is an 11-minute walk from the Suite Tower, the eastern tower of the Galt House Hotel. There is a pedway to minimize the outdoor portion of your walk. Additionally, the PCUSAstore will provide transportation for those with mobility issues.
Breakfast will be provided, and bottomless coffee/hot tea.
We hope you will also register for the POINT Lunch. The program will be an overview of Presbyterian resources and strategies for promoting resources in your presbytery. Space is limited. Please register early.
FAQs
Who should attend?
Persons who are appointed by their presbytery to assist congregations in their use of denominational curricula. Each presbytery is encouraged to designate two people. Ask your presbytery to appoint you.
Is there a cost to attend the training?
There is no cost to attend the training. Breakfast is included in your registration. Transportation, meals, and lodging are the responsibility of the participant.
What should I attend?
We hope you will attend either POINT A or POINT B, and the POINT lunch.
