The Taxpayers Association of Central Iowa will be hosting guests at the Cub Club for our next Ideas In Action event on Thursday, January 26th, 2017. Guests will again be provided a unique opportunity to engage in frank, face-to-face conversation with both peers and city leaders.

Join us for an evening of mingling, networking, and budgeting in the warmth and comfort of The Cub Club! This event will be focused around a mock budgeting workshop, allowing groups of guests to explore the logistics of city budgeting on a manageable scale!
Connect with peers and leaders, enjoy an opportunity to learn about the city budgeting process from Tom Hadden, West Des Moines' City Manager, and see if your tax dollars are being spent as you would spend them. Be a part of the conversation!

Special Guest

Tom Hadden - City Manager - West Des Moines

Thomas Hadden was appointed West Des Moines' City Manager in May of 2014.

At Des Moines 101, our most recent Ideas In Action event, guests enjoyed the casual atmosphere of the Cub Club while learning about the future of Des Moines from architects of our city's future.

Emcee'd by Abby Eckert of Principal Financial Group, the Des Moines 101 session of our Ideas In Action series received rave reviews from guests - this "speed networking" format, consisting of rotating 15 minute "round table" discussions, allowed guests to truly join the conversation.
