Join your fellow SPE Chicago members for a Networking/Dinner Event on the topic of Sustainability, focused on the Plastics Industry. Speakers will include:
  • Tina Burnet - Director of Procurement, Freudenberg Household Products
FHP is a division of the Freudenberg Group headquartered in Weinheim, Germany. The company’s Household Products Division is a leading international manufacturer of branded goods including brooms, brushes, mops, buckets, cleaning systems and household gloves, and is the leader in virtually all markets in which it competes. The Freudenberg Household Products Division employs about 2,300 employees globally and is best known in America for its O-Cedar® brand and signature tagline “O-Cedar Makes Your Life Easier!®”  FHP’s US corporate headquarters is located in Aurora, Illinois in a 625,000 sq. ft facility LEED Silver Certified Building where 75% of sales are from products produced in the Aurora plant.

Tina has been a leader in the sustainability achievements in the Aurora plant and has won the Freudenberg Sustainability Award in 2017 and 2018 for the use of recycled materials in their injection molding and extrusion processes.  Tina will present her success story and share the challenges faced along the way.


  • George Staniulis - Vice President, AGS Technology
George Staniulis is a 45-year veteran of the plastics recycling industry. Mr. Staniulis is a principal and vice-president of business development at AGS Technology Inc., an injection-molding company, whose core competency is the use of recycled plastics to manufacture products for the automotive and durable goods industries.

Mr. Staniulis has expertise in various aspects of plastics recycling technology, including de-polymerization, melt phase compounding, polymer modification, and application development.

Mr. Staniulis has, presented technical papers on various aspects of plastics recycling at conferences sponsored by The Society of Plastics Industry, The Society of Plastics Engineers, The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, The National Plastics Exposition, the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and various privately sponsored events. He will present "Plastics Recycling: a 45-Year Perspective."
