Simple Rules for Mothers and Daughters

A One-Day Retreat for Renewing Connection and Igniting
Spirited Energy

"Some are kissing mothers and some are scolding mothers, but it is love just the same." ~Pearl S. Buck

Raising a daughter (and raising a mother!) might be one of the most challenging and gratifying jobs in the world — and as we all know, there is no finish line. These relationships are complex and diverse, infuriating and indulging. Some mothers and daughters are best friends. Others talk occasionally. Some see each other weekly; others live in different states or countries. Some spar regularly. Some avoid conflict. Others talk through everything.

Sound familiar? Undoubtedly, there’s a hint of all these things in most relationships. There is also no playbook or money-back guarantee. What there are, however, are Simple Rules, which you can discover, create, and explore together.

"By the time a woman realizes her mother was right, she has a daughter who thinks        she’s wrong." ~Unknown

What are Simple Rules?

Simple Rules are a straightforward and uncomplicated set of guidelines for living your life. They are comprised of what you believe and understand about yourself, and are based upon your own values and the conditions you set to shape your life.

This one-day adult Mother-Daughter retreat provides the time, space and tranquility to share who you are, what’s important to you, and how you want to connect. And together you will create your own short list of Simple Rules for understanding your sometimes-thorny, yet forever-vital mother-daughter relationship.

Please plan to join us at the beautiful Franciscan Renewal Center in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

"What the daughter does, the mother did."  ~Jewish Proverb
