This seminar will explore Interventional Psychiatry, its history and development and how it can help alleivate symptoms from a variety of mental illnesses, including major depressive disorder, anxiety, psychosis and bipolar disorder. Treatments such as Electroconvulsive Therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as well as emerging modalities like Ketomine, Deep Brain Stimulation and vagal nerve block will be discussed. Participants will learn more about the types of patients that are appropriate for neuromodulation treatment.

Michael Hann, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Brook Lane
Dr. Hann is an adult psychiatrist providing outpatient services at Brook Lane’s main campus. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He received his Medical Degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Florida International University, Miami, FL. Dr. Hann is a Certified Physician Executive through the American Association for Physician Leadership and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He treats clients with various mental health issues.
CANCELLATION POLICY: A $10 processing fee will apply for all cancellations. To receive a refund, cancellations must be made in writing and received no later than one week prior to the seminar. No refunds/credits will be made after the one-week date or for no shows on the day of the program.
Continuing Education Information:
An important message about CEUs: Brook Lane seminars are approved for continuing education credits as an entire event. PARTIAL CREDIT WILL NOT BE AWARDED. To assure that you receive continuing education credit, you must be on time and complete the entire seminar.
Counselors/Therapists: Brook Lane has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP TM) # 5452. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Brook Lane is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. This program will provide 3 clock hours; partial credit will not be awarded.
Social Workers: Brook Lane is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education learning activities and maintains full responsibility for this program. This training qualifies for Category 1 continuing education units and provides 3.0 credit hours; partial credit will not be awarded.
Psychologists: The Maryland State Board of Examiners for Psychologists will accept continuing education hours provided by Brook Lane, an approved CE sponsor by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland, partial credit will not be awarded.
Other Healthcare Professionals and Attendees: A certificate of completion noting the number of educational/contact hours will be provided for other disciplines to allow attendees to apply for CE credit as an individual.
