St. Louis STEM Bear Scout Program

At The Academy of Racing Science, we are committed to making an impact on the youth in our local communities. That's why we have partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to provide a fun, and interactive way to earn badges while learning about STEM education concepts.

Scouts will be broken up into groups of 12 and rotate through 4 stations to earn their Make It Move Elective and Belt Loop. 

• Balloon on a String: Newton's 3rd Law of Motion - for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction
• Pulleys: Demonstrate and explain the function and benefits of a pulley
• Sailboats: Observing the way sailboats use wind power to propel forward
• Racing: Each scout will get racing instruction and one race on a 1/4 mile track

The Program costs $25 per child and includes a race, Cub Scout badge and diploma. This is a 2 hour program, going from 9am - 11am. Scouts must be 6 years old and 50" tall to be able to race.

Registration will close the Wednesday prior to the event as we need a proper head count.  There are no refunds if event is not attended.

THIS EVENT IS FOR BEAR SCOUTS ON NOVEMBER 4TH. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR THE RIGHT PROGRAM AND DATE, AS WE CAN NOT SWITCH YOUR SCOUT TO A DIFFERENT EVENT OR GROUP ONCE THEY ARE REGISTERED.
