St. Louis STEM WeBeLoS Scout Program

At The Academy of Racing, we are committed to making an impact on the youth in our local communities. That's why we have partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to provide a fun, and interactive way to earn badges while learning about STEM education concepts.

Scouts will be broken up into groups of 12 and rotate through 4 stations to earn their Engineer Elective and Pin. 

• Blueprint Design: Explain what a blueprint is and demonstrate how it is used in the field of engineering
• Pulleys: Demonstrate and explain the function and benefits of a pulley
• Gears: Define and demonstrate a gear system, and find the mechanical advantage
• Racing:  Each scout will get racing insturction and one race on a 1/4 mile track 

The Program costs $25 per child and includes a race, Cub Scout badge and diploma. This is a 2 hour program, going from 9am - 11am. Scouts must be 6 years old and 50" tall to be able to race.

Registration will close the Wednesday prior to the event as we need a proper head count.  There are no refunds if event is not attended.

THIS EVENT IS FOR WEBELO SCOUTS ON APRIL 14TH. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR THE RIGHT PROGRAM AND DATE, AS WE CAN NOT SWITCH YOUR SCOUT TO A DIFFERENT EVENT OR GROUP ONCE THEY ARE REGISTERED.
