   Harbor Wetlands Restoration Event

Volunteers ages 14+ are invited to join our community partner, Resource Conservation Partnersas we work to remove non-native plants (ice plant) and restore the Ventura Wildlife Ponds, located at 1400 Spinnaker Drive, to its native habitat.  Resource Conservation Partners (RCP) is a local non-profit organization in Ventura, CA. RCP’s purpose is to restore, conserve, protect, and monitor our natural resources.

All tools and supplies will be provided. Volunteers are required to wear long pants and closed toed shoes, must be comfortable using rakes and shovels, and be able to kneel, bend, lift, and carry heavy plant material.

Please be sure to park on Angler Court across the street from where the gate is.  The south side of the street (nearest to the gate) is posted as a No Parking zone.  Please do not park here as you may be ticketed.

All participants and parents/guardians must sign a waiver, available HERE. Waivers will also be available at the project site.

Group Sign Up: On the online registration form under "Group Member Information" you may indicate how many from your group will attend. For this event we can take a group of up to 100 volunteers.

Volunteers interested in helping to make this wonderful community event a success, are asked to register by clicking the "Register Now!" button below.

Please note:  If we do not have a minimum number of volunteers registered for this event and/or if there is inclement weather, it will be cancelled.  Please be sure to check your email up to two days prior to the event.  You will be notified of changes and/or cancellations via email.

Thank you!
