Learning and Academic Performance - The Role of Executive Function (EF) Skills 

This training will provide an overview of Executive Function (EF) skills and how those skills assist and/or impede students' learning and academic performance. Many students with disabilities have not acquired or are not able to effectively use EF skills such as time management, planning, task initiation/completion, and organization.  We will explore and discuss strategies for supporting the student/child including support through accommodations and teaching new skills to assist at home and school. Participants will be provided with checklists, sample forms, and other handouts that will serve as useful tools for parents and the school team.
