Understanding the Process, Procedure, and Student Rights

In order to ensure that students with disabilities are not unfairly disciplined for acts that may be a result of their disability, special education laws offer students additional protections before suspensions and other punishment can be imposed.  Guest presenter, Julie Keegan, Esq. - Disability Rights New York, will explain these protections and when students are entitled to them.  Discussion will also cover what to do if your child is facing disciplinary actions as well as strategies for prevention.
