School Age Transition and the IEP
What You Need to Know
Starting with the IEP plan year in which a student turns 15, the IEP development process is mandated to include discussion and planning related to preparing the child for life after high school. This training was developed for parents who are new to the transition process. It will include an overview of the assessments completed and the components of the IEP that address transition. Parents of children ages 11 and up are encouraged to participate in this training.
