Infection Control & OSHA, California Dental Practice Act 

The first two hours of this course review the minimum standards for infection control under the California Dental Practice Act. Topics include immunizations, standard precautions, disinfection, sterilization, personal protective attire, hand hygiene, biohazard waste management, and dental laboratory asepsis. This part of the course meets the Dental Board of California requirement for 2 hours of C.E. in infection control. The second will provide an overview of current regulations and guidelines. Topics will include the Dental Practice Act, HIPAA law requirements, scope of practice, record keeping, CURE regulations, license renewal. This course will fulfill the requirement for 2 hours of C.E. in dental law.
