SPRING FLING RALLY T-SHIRT DESIGN

Morton's BMW 2013 Spring Fling Rally

For years, you've enjoyed our hospitality at the best BMW open houses in the area. Perhaps you were with us in May 2011 for our very first Spring Fling Rally at Natural Bridge, Virginia, or in May 2012 for our second and even better rally. Now we're planning the third Spring Fling, and you won't want to miss this one!

After each of our first two rallies, we asked attendees what they liked and what they didn't like, and we keep making adjustments to improve the rally experience for you all. 2013 will be no exception. We're making the Friday evening dinner much nicer, staging it at the cottages (as we had hoped to do last year), and we've worked out some nice discounts for you with our headquarters hotel and attractions!

Starting at noon on Friday, May 17, we'll return to the historic Natural Bridge Hotel for a weekend of fun, great riding, interesting destinations, and the camaraderie of fellow BMW riders. If you ride another brand, don't worry -- you're always welcome at a Morton's BMW event!

During the summer of 2012, we conducted another search throughout Virginia and West Virginia, looking for an even venue for our rally. We wanted a place with ample scenic, historic, and entertaining attractions, as well as great roads, off-road riding opportunities, good food, and a comfortable place to lay your head at night. Once again, the best combination of attractions and value was Natural Bridge!

Originally surveyed by George Washington and once owned by Thomas Jefferson, the Natural Bridge has long been a scenic and historic landmark in the Shenandoah Valley. The adjacent Natural Bridge Hotel is comfortable and affordable and -- best of all -- they're motorcycle-friendly and thrilled to have us!

We've reserved EVERY room at the hotel, including all 36 cottage rooms across the road from the hotel and the site of our Friday evening Burgers, Brats 'n' Brews dinner. Contact them directly at 800-533-1410 to make your room reservation today, and make sure to mention Morton's BMW Spring Fling. Rallygoers will fill the cottages and take over the entire hotel; let's make this place Beemertown for the weekend! Rally check-in and vendors will be at the back of the hotel in Washington Hall, as we did in 2012. We'll have dinner, as well as door prize giveaways and a presentation, at the hotel's Jefferson Ballroom on Saturday night.

We will once again be offering commemorative rally t-shirts for pre-order or purchase at the rally. Click on the t-shirt design at left or HERE to go to the t-shirt ordering page.

Believe me, you won't want to miss this!

Tentative Rally Schedule

Friday, May 17  Starting at noon, the rally opens and check-in begins at the Natural Bridge Hotel. Be sure to pick up your wristband (required for dinner and door prizes) and swag bag at the check-in table in Washington Hall.

You'll have until 6:00 pm to check in, get settled, scope out the area, see some attractions, visit with vendors, and get ready for dinner.

Friday evening, we are pleased to offer Burgers, Brats 'n' Brews at our Biergarten in the cottage area. For just $20, you'll get fresh-grilled burgers, bratwurst, or hot dogs (or a vegetarian alternative) on a bun with toppings; pesto pasta salad; black bean and corn salad; and local craft beers, iced tea, or water. Check the Burgers, Brats 'n' Brews dinner option on the registration form to pre-pay. If you'll be drinking beer, please remember to bring ID to dinner with you.

Saturday, May 18  You'll want to get up early to get a start on the weekend! Grab some breakfast (if you don't eat at the hotel, try the funky Pink Cadillac diner just a few miles north), pick a route sheet or GPS route, and head out for a day of great scenery and even better roads. Go in almost any direction and you'll have fun!

The vendor area will be open Saturday from 8:00 am until noon, and then again from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm for your shopping pleasure. We'll close down between noon and 2:00 pm to give our vendors a little time to get lunch and enjoy a ride themselves.

If you'd like to join a group ride, we've got a few planned for you. We'll have more details on the rides as we get closer to the rally date.

If you don't want to head out right away, hang around (or come back) for a seminar in the hotel meeting rooms, just across the driveway from the Washington Hall. We'll have more details on those in the near future, too.

After you return from your ride, relax and clean up for dinner. We'll meet in the Jefferson Ballroom of the hotel for a cocktail hour at 5:00 pm, then at 6:00 pm, we'll sit down for our catered dinner buffet -- mixed green salad, roast pork with apples, rosemary and thyme baked chicken, a vegetarian entree, au gratin potatoes, whole baby carrots, green beans, rolls, assorted desserts, iced tea, coffee, and water -- and evening activities. After dinner, we'll be giving away some really nice door prizes; make sure to keep your wristband on, as it gets you into the dinner and is also your door prize ticket number. You need to be present to win a door prize. We'll have a presentation, too, so watch for more info on that.

After the evening's entertainment, we reckon there will be a few of you who might gather in the cottage area or the hotel patios for drinks on the veranda and cigars. Or soft drinks and fresh air. It doesn't really matter, we're just here to have fun! The night is yours to enjoy.

Sunday, May 19  It's time to pack up, check out, and be on our way. The rally's over and we have to return to the real world. But, given our wonderful location, at least it'll be a nice, scenic ride home.
