What is VBS?

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School.  The Women's Club at IHM is hosting our fourth Vacation Bible School together.  

What is the theme of IHM's VBS?

When is IHM's VBS and where will I work? 

IHM's VBS is July 17-21, 2017.  Children participate each day from 9:00-12:00.  Volunteers will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to start time.  Activities will take place on the IHM campus both inside and outside.

What if I am not available to volunteer during VBS?

We understand that working parents may not be available to help during camp hours.  We also have some weekend jobs and some work-from-home jobs that you can do so please sign up and choose the appropriate selections based on your schedule. 

Who is allowed to volunteer?

All adults and teens in the IHM community are welcome to volunteer.  You do not need to be a parishioner to help with IHM's VBS. Adults can register here.  Rising 6th-12th graders should click here to volunteer.  All adult volunteers need to be Safe Environment or VIRTUS approved.  If you need to obtain this approval, you will receive instructions during the confirmation process.   It involves simple paperwork, a background check, and an in person training session.

Who is allowed to attend IHM VBS?

IHM VBS is open to all children entering Pre-K - 5th grade in the fall. Divine Playtime is open to all children under 4 whose parents/caregivers are volunteering. Students in 6th-12th grade are invited to volunteer and earn service hours.

If I volunteer, are my children given priority enrollment in IHM's VBS?

Yes, our volunteer's children will be given the first spots in registration.  Pre-Registration for VBS opens in March.  

How much will VBS cost per student?

VBS is $50 per child for all participants.  Financial aid is available if needed.  All FULL TIME volunteers get a 50% discount on their registration fees.
