Josh Crisp
Founder & CEO, Solinity
Josh Crisp is a senior living executive with over 13 years of experience in development, construction, & management across the southeast. Josh is Founder & CEO of Solinity, a senior living development & management company designed to reshape the industry to better meet the needs of the aging & create intergenerational communities.
Prior to the inception of Solinity, Josh founded TLC Senior Living Management & Consulting which led to his leadership in Dominion Senior Living. In 2014, Dominion designed, built, & managed five new communities in East Tennessee & hired several hundred new team members. Josh also assisted other senior living developers & facility owners in various capacities from third party management to strategic consulting, & team building.
Josh is an active voice to legislature; he serves as Chairman of the Assisted Living Standing Committee & Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam appointed Josh to the Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities in 2014. The board provides regulatory authority over all licensed health care facilities in the state of Tennessee.
Josh has served on a number of civic & professional boards including a strategic committee for the College of Public Health at East Tennessee State University & LeadingAge Tennessee where he served as Secretary for the Board’s Executive Committee & chaired the Public Policy Committee.
For fun, Josh enjoys working out & preparing for obstacle course races. His latest adventure is completing his second 1,098-mile bike ride with a group of cyclists who raised funds for the Alzheimer’s Research Initiative at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. In 2017 with the first event, the cyclists raised over $100,000 for the Pat Summitt Foundation in honor of legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt’s 1,098 career NCAA wins. Josh co-founded Pedal for Alzheimer’s, Ltd., a 501c(3) non-profit organization committed to raising awareness & funds for Alzheimer’s disease by organizing & hosting cycling events.
In the spring of 2018, Crisp launched a podcast specifically designed to inform, educate, and influence the senior housing industry. The passion project is a partnership of several like-minded influencers that formed the brand: Bridge the Gap. The weekly show releases episodes in audio and video platforms including iTunes and YouTube and already has a great following and is creating a buzz among stakeholders in the senior housing and program services areas.
Josh resides in Fountain City, Tennessee with his wife, Lauren, & their three children.
Sara Mitchell
Communications Director & Client Relations, Solinity
Sara Mitchell is a communications professional with experience in broadcast journalism, digital media, production and public relations. She joined Solinity as Communications Director and Client Relations manager where she directs the communications needs of clients as well as the parent brand of Solinity Services, an industry leader in senior living development and management.
With her experience in social media management, digital content creation and website production, Sara manages media relations for Solinity and its clients in addition to the daily internet marketing, social and digital management, and correspondence of teams. She oversees the communication platforms used by clients and works alongside all parties to keep projects and communities moving forward. The internet marketing division of also serves clients in the media relations/press release realm as Solinity strives to tell the great stories within the senior housing industry.
Prior to joining Solinity in 2017, Sara was a host and reporter for Knoxville’s CBS news affiliate WVLT-TV. She was the sideline reporter and social media manager for East Tennessee’s Rivalry Thursday and H3 Playoffs high school football along with a variety of other news segments covering topics of fitness, health, entertainment, and local news.
Sara has modeled for the nationwide clothing company Altar’d State, SHEEX, Val’s Boutique and Power Systems as well as the featured Lexus of Knoxville Celebrity Driver. She also had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to act in the film “The Last Movie Star” (formally Dog Years) starring Burt Reynolds and Modern Family’s Ariel Winter.
Sara earned her Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she was the UT Athletic Department reporter and an SEC-ESPN Network basketball sideline reporter. In her spare time, she enjoys running and competing in various races and has recently begun cycling. She serves on the media and production team at her church and volunteers with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of East Tennessee, Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, and Pedal for Alzheimer’s.
At its inception of the inaugural “Pedal for Pat” cycling event where a team of cyclists pedaled 1,098-miles, in honor of legendary coach Pat Summitt’s NCAA career victories, to spread awareness and raise funds for Alzheimer’s research and education, Sara was the volunteer media and communications manager. As a result of the success of that event, the team presented $100,000 to The Pat Summit Foundation. In October 2018, Sara directed the second Pedal for Alzheimer’s 1,098-mile charity ride that is benefitting the Alzheimer’s Research Initiative at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Pedal for Alzheimer’s, Ltd. is a501c(3) non-profit organization committed to raising awareness & funds for Alzheimer’s disease by organizing & hosting cycling events.
