Welcome to the 2015 Business Owners Roundtable.
Join our Summer/Fall 2015 Roundtable segment now, for six consecutive sessions continuing on into the fall. This is the sixth Peer Group that SCORE has offered in the past 2 1/2 years!
The Roundtable, ideally a group of no more than 12 small-business CEOs / Owners from a range of industries, offers the opportunity to share, learn and network with one’s peers in a respectful and collaborative setting. Its goal is to help its members:
- Grow and prosper from their interaction with a panel of objective peer advisors
- Improve their individual business and leadership skills and savvy
We will focus on providing each Business Owner the opportunity to present his/her business and current challenges. Then, the entire Group will provide ideas and observations. Thus each of you will have your own Board Of Directors.
This will lead to developing sustainable and productive business as well as social, and networking opportunities and relationships.
Guest speakers and other SCORE counselors with special expertise will be made available to the Roundtable to address specific high priority topics.
Topics which are decided by the group can be folded into the sessions. The topics to be considered for the Summer/Fall segment are:
- Digital marketing: the role of the social media and which ones are most appropriate
- The art of closing the sale
- Employment practices
- Recruitment evaluation
- Employee training and development
- Financing alternatives
- A financial primer as your business grows and matures re: P&L, cash flow and Balance Sheet considerations
- Time management
- Maintaining focus and life balance issues
The Roundtable operates with six 2 ½ hour sessions held every three weeks, on Wednesday mornings, starting at 9:00 am, and with all members agreeing to attend a minimum of six sessions.
The fee for the six sessions is $250. The dates currently scheduled are July 15 (August will be skipped), September 9, September 30, October 21 and November 11. Those registering after the June 17 session will receive a one session refund after registration.
Top officers, Presidents, CEOs, owners, etc., of all types of businesses are welcome: Retail, Wholesale/Distribution, Manufacturing, Consulting services, Professional practices, et al.

Members will have an opportunity to profit from the input of colleagues who may have dealt with the same or similar issues as those with which they are concerned, as well as to share insights, approaches and solutions developed in the course of building their own individual careers and enterprises. The RT becomes your own Board of Directors helping us to realize our objectives.

Prerequisites:
- Pre-qualification is required.
- You must discuss your qualifications and the availability of open space with Jerry Weinstein before enrolling.
- A two-year history of revenue must be demonstrated.
