QUESTIONS YOU NEED TO ANSWER BEFORE STARTING A BUSINESS 

This workshop will focus on those questions necessary to answer before investing $1 in a new business.  To do otherwise will put you in harms way.  It will also give you a roadmap from business concept or idea to writing a business plan.
 

Among the questions that need to be answered:

  •  How to identify your target customer
  • What customer problem or challenge you solve
  • What value you deliver
  • How you will reach, acquire and keep customers
  • How you will define and differentiate your offering
  • How you will generate revenue
  • What is your cost structure
  • What is your profit margin

Instructor:
Burt Wallerstein
Burt Wallerstein is the founder and principal of a global, burt wallerstein marketing and consulting agency, a mentor and business blog writer in the New York City chapter of Score, and an advisory board member of Virtual Enterprise International.  He also has written commentaries on improving higher education for Washington Examiner and John William Pope Center.  After a 20 year career in corporate retail America, he began his second career.  His unique combination of skill sets include includes new business development, retailing, wholesaling, merchandising, branding, marketing, sales, global licensing, global sourcing, importing and consulting to small businesses.  He has an innate ability to identify underdeveloped and niche markets as well as implementing them into profitable businesses. A graduate of Boston University School of Management, Burt is a SCORE NYC Mentor.
