Jan Alan Lewis is a Member of the firm’s Real Estate Department, concentrating in commercial office and industrial leasing, representing both landlords and tenants, on a local, regional and national basis. He has handled various complex real estate transactions on behalf of prominent owners, developers and companies throughout the United States, and he has frequently been retained as local counsel to represent tenants with respect to their leases in the Tri-State Area. Jan’s responsibilities have included the preparation, review and negotiation of leases and related documents for commercial (including office, industrial, warehouse and retail) and residential properties, brokerage agreements, and contracts of sale for the purchase and sale of commercial and residential properties.
A member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers’ Association and the American Bar Association, Jan has also been a frequent lecturer and has authored numerous articles on the subject of commercial leasing.
Jan earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Lehigh University in 1979, and his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1982.

Marguerite DeMartino, Emergency Management Consultant, is a subject matter expert in administering emergency management programs for businesses and organizations throughout New York City. She is also Director for the AIG Global Reinsurance Operations and has assisted in developing the unit’s business continuity program. In addition, Marguerite is a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard Reserve where she has been a member for over 24 years and has been deployed during several disasters including 9/11 and Deep Water Horizon (oil spill – Gulf of Mexico). She has Emergency Management Certifications from the NYC Office of Emergency Management and FEMA, as well as an Associate in Risk Management from the Insurance Institute of America.

Fletcher Duke has a broad range of experience in banking and finance from both a business and legal perspective with over 25 years of experience. He has led steering committees in negotiations with CEO’s and CFO’s of distressed companies and their professionals and has restructured syndicated credit facilities both in and out of Chapter 11. He has also negotiated acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures in the U.S. and Europe. He is a decisive leader who has held Board of Directors seats on distressed companies and guided lenders and businesses through difficult situations. Fletcher has worked on a broad range of industries including retail, commercial real estate, consumer products, manufacturing, media, financials, energy, agriculture and auto parts suppliers.
Fletcher has a Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, and a B.S. in Economics from the University of California, Riverside.
He is admitted to practice law in New York and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Association of Corporate Counsel, and the Risk Management Association. Fletcher is a SCORE NYC Mentor.
