The Corporate Transparency Act

Wednesday, October 25, 2023  6:30PM - 8:30PM ET

This program presents to tax professionals the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) through the FinCen guidance issued on March 24, 2023. The program reviews: the legislative and legal history leading to the creation of the CTA; who must report under the CTA; what they must report, and when the reporting must be made.  The program explains the intersection of the Act and the IRS access to the field data. It also analyzes the potential use of the data in civil tax examinations. A small portion of this webinar will cover New York State CTA issues, as well.
