Featuring award-winning Israeli novelist, satirist, and columnist Sayed Kashua and Giller Prize-nominated author Nancy Richler. Kashua is behind the prime time Israeli sitcom Arab Labor and among the country’s most original writers.

Sayed Kashua is the author of three novels: Dancing Arabs , Let it Be Morning, and Second Person Singular, winner of the Berstein Prize. Kashua also writers a satirical weekly column in Hebrew for the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz. In a humorous, tongue-in-cheek style, Kashua addresses the problems faced by Arabs in Israel, caught between two worlds. He is the writer and creator of the hit Israeli TV show "Arab Labor" (Avoda Aravit), now in it's third season. In 2004 Kashua was awarded the Prime Minister's Prize in Literature. He is also the subject of the documentary "Forever Scared".

Nancy Richler’s first novel, Throwaway Angels, was shortlisted for the 1997 Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Crime Novel. Her second novel, Your Mouth Is Lovely, was the winner of the 2003 Canadian Jewish Book Award for fiction and Italy’s 2004 Adei-Wizo Prize. Nancy's most recent novel, The Imposter Bride, was a finalist for the 2012 Scotiabank Giller Prize, winner of the 2013 Canadian Jewish Book Award for Fiction, a Globe and Mail Best Book of the Year, and a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice. Nancy Richler divides her time between Vancouver and her hometown of Montreal.
