RISEN - Family Movie Event 

What is the truth that lies behind the story of Jesus’s resurrection? The film Risen invites viewers to uncover the truth while witnessing the manhunt that changed the course of human history.

The Risen movie will be shown at Timothy on Friday, April 28, 2017 and unravels the events of the resurrection through the eyes of a nonbeliever. Clavius, a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide Lucius, are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.

Following our movie event, on April 30, 2017, Timothy Lutheran Ministries is hosting a five-week sermon series based on the movie to help people dig deeper into the topics of Risen. The series is designed to take people on a journey to experience deeper faith, or perhaps discover faith for the first time.

PLEASE NOTE: This movie is rated PG-13 for violence. Children are welcome at the parents discretion.
