Give Thanks by Giving Back

The ministry of JourneyMen has touched the lives of many families through its Bible studies, retreats and special events for men and families. Hosting retreats at Heits Point has been a major avenue in helping men grow closer to Christ and build a deeper faith becoming stronger husbands, fathers and men. We now have the opportunity to give back to Heits Point! Due to a lack of volunteers this past summer, Heits Point needs our help. The newly renovated dining hall at Heits Point is near completion. Over the past six month volunteers have been working hard to build a new dining/activity hall to support the outdoor ministries of Heits Point. For more than nine years JourneyMen has benefited through the use of Heits Point in touching lives for Christ to countless men - perhaps even someone in your family. It is exciting to announce that Heits Point has graciously agreed to name this new dining/activity building JourneyMen Hall.

If your family has been impacted through the ministry of JourneyMen please consider this opportunity in thanking God and giving back for His amazing blessings. You can join the group on Friday and Saturday or Saturday only. When registering, please check the registration option that best fits your ability to serve on this special weekend.

As part of our ritual at Heits Point we will have a camp fire on Friday evening to enjoy the fellowship of one another while praising God for all he has done and continues to do in our lives. Please register as soon as possible so Heits Point can provide housing in the Spitz center and plan for meals.

 DATE: September 11-12, 2015 (Friday and Saturday)

Registration options: (All meals and lodging included while your at Heits Point)

1. Friday, arrive 9am to begin serving

2. Friday, arrive at noon for lunch and begin serving

3. Friday, arrive between 1pm-6pm to serve

4. Friday, arrive after 6pm for fellowship and spend the night

5. Saturday, arrive 9am and serve

If you can only attend Friday, that's OK! We will complete our day on Saturday around 6pm.

Tentative areas of serving: Painting, laying of carpet tiles, finish trim work, outlet cover, finishing of deck, clean-up of area. There are big jobs and little jobs - something for everyone young and old.
