Revealed: Hidden Lives of the River
Exhibit Opening Reception Saturday, March 12 at 5pm
Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries is proud to showcase the photographs of Eric Lind in his exhibit Revealed: Hidden Lives of the River. The exhibit will be on display March 12 through October 2, 2011.
The exhibit opens with a free public reception for the artist on Saturday, March 12 from 5-7 pm.
Lind, a Beacon resident and Director of Constitution Marsh Audubon Center & Sanctuary in Garrison, NY, developed his collection Revealed: Hidden Lives of the River, to bring to light some of our region's lesser-known and inconspicuous wild residents. in his daily work as a conservationist, Lind has had the privilege of years of study and observation of the river's stunning but often unseen diversity of life. As a life-long student of the natural world, the exhibit also includes select images from the woods and waters of the great Atlantic watershed.
Constitution Marsh Audubon Center & Sanctuary is a unique and beautiful 270-acre tidal marsh managed by Audubon as a wildlife sanctuary since 1970. It is located in Putnam County, New York on the east shore of the Hudson River, just south of the village of Cold Spring. As Lind's work at Constitution Marsh Sanctuary hinges upon the delicacy of human interaction with nature, his photography is equally tuned to sensitivity and respect for the wildlife he protects.
