Crowdfunding: Bend the Curve™

Crowdfunding is growing in popularity as an alternative to traditional methods of raising capital for business. Since its inception, the largest crowdfunding platform has surpassed more than $1 billion of pledges for its projects.  However, the majority of crowd funding projects do NOT reach their funding goals.  What separates the winners from the losers?

This workshop (9:00am-12:30pm) is designed to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with an introduction to crowdfunding. Instructor Gregory Paley is a Collaborative Advisor with more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, business lawyer, and author who has provided advice to hundreds of entrepreneurs and early stage companies.

Those attending will learn about to use crowdfunding, tips and traps and, most importantly, if it is right for their project.  Some of the topics that will be covered include:

Overview of Crowdfunding

Is Crowdfunding Right for Me?

Selecting a Platform

Crowdfunding Models

Creating and Promoting Campaigns

Do's and Dont's

Standing out from the Crowd
