About the Supervisor

Carrie White qualified as a coach in 2002, whilst working as Learning and Development Manager for Royal Bank of Scotland Private Banking. She delivered career coaching to the Financial Planning Managers who were responsible for managing wealth client accounts. From here she progressed to developing her knowledge and skills as a coach, focusing on coaching middle and senior management and building high potential talent programmes with coaching a core element of the programme offering.

Lauren has worked predominantly in financial services, coaching middle,  and senior level leaders, who have a variety of personal development challenges. She focuses on working with people who recognise they have a development need and are committed and open to change. This allows them to get the most of our time together.

In 2010, Lauren joined Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) as Head of Learning and Development, this gave her the opportunity to build an internal coaching model and build a faculty of accredited coaches with the subject matter knowledge to support technical development of colleagues. With the introduction of more coaches, many of whom are working towards a professional qualification in coaching and mentoring, Lauren identified the need for more structured coaching supervision to support their ongoing continuing professional development. Lauren trained as a coaching supervisor in 2015 and achieved a Masters level qualification in Coaching Supervision in 2018.

Lauren is passionate about helping others achieve their full potential, it doesn’t matter what the development need, she is open to tackling the challenge. For her coaching is all about the other person, allowing them to find their own solutions to the challenge they are presenting.

About the Supervisee

Lauren Pike is a Learning & Development practitioner and ILM accredited coach.  She runs the Barclays Internal Audit in-house coaching programme and supports the pool of internal coaches.  She has been coaching for a number of years and has a huge passion for the profession.  She is a great believer in the power of coaching and actively works with a coach to support her own learning.
